Filmed over a year across three continents, THE ELEVENTH STEP continues with explorer and expedition guide Gerry Moffatt on his most personal adventure yet. Affected by the untimely death of a close friend, Gerry takes viewers on an inspiring journey from temples to mountain tops to understand the power behind what connects us to each other and what happens when we embrace the universal desire for higher meaning.
Anchoring his quest is Gerry’s decision to reconcile his feelings about the two most influential men in his life – his hard-charging, adventurous mentor, the founder of a legendary Himalayan expedition company, and his father, an irascible, unadventurous, old-fashioned Scottish Catholic. What he discovers with these two elderly lions offers heart-warming insight into how we become who we are and how we can change into who we really want to be.
