EXPLORING THE WORLD AS IT IS...

IMAGINING THE WORLD AS IT SHOULD BE.

We launched a tiny organization in 2013. We’re still a tiny organization. But we’re doing some BIG things – stay awhile here and let us share!

From our U.S. base in the mountain town of Ketchum, Idaho we passionately create training programs, documentary films, keynote presentations, and partnerships around the world that embrace the transformative power of adventure to inspire personal change.

Our work takes us from Idaho’s wild mountains and rivers to Scotland’s ancient Highlands, from the high Tibetan plateau of northern Ladakh to deep river gorges in British Columbia. From the Khumbu and Everest to Bhutan’s Punakha Dzong. We deeply believe in using authentic adventure to help people rediscover “Beginner’s Mind” and awaken a fresh new practice for living their best lives.

We bring together decades of world-class experience in adventure travel, expedition guiding, filmmaking, writing, education, non-profit management, advocacy, grassroots organizing, and social entrepreneurship.

We are blessed to work with a close cadre of extraordinary cinematographers, expedition leaders, athletes, social entrepreneurs, philanthropists, educators, and community leaders to bring our ideas, stories, and dreams to life.

OUR PHILOSOPHY

We believe that life is about LIVING the questions you have in your heart, not about finding the “answers”. It is in the asking and the living of questions that the experience we call life meaningfully unfolds.

Thunder Dragon works to be an Inspiration Engine for everyone seeking to live life as a spiritual adventure.

``...the point is, to live everything. Live the questions now. Perhaps you will then gradually, without noticing it, live along some
distant day into the answer.``

– Ranier Maria Rilke, Letters to a Young Poet
